Toshiharu Ikaga

[Professor, Keio University]

Born 1959 in Tokyo, Japan. Graduated from the Department of Architecture in the School of Science and Engineering at Waseda University. Completed a masterʼs degree at the Graduate School of Science and Engineering at Waseda University. Served as the general manager of the Environmental Engineering Group at Nikken Sekkei and an associate professor at the University of Tokyo before assuming his current position in 2006. The main focus of his research is on the co-benefits of low-carbon, health, intellectual productivity, and post-disaster business continuity measures. Publications include CASBEE nyumon [Introduction to CASBEE*], Kenchiku to chiteki seisansei [Architecture and Intellectual Productivity*], Necchusho no genjo to yobo [Heatstroke Today and Preventive Measures*], LCCM jutaku no sekkei shuho [Approaches to LCCM Housing Design*], and Saiko no kankyo kenchiku wo tsukuru hoho [How to Design the Ultimate Ecological Architecture].
