Hideo Hama

[Professor, Keio University]

Born 1954 in Fukushima, Japan. Withdrew from the doctoral program of the Graduate School of Human Sciences at Osaka University in 1980. Taught at Niigata University and the University of Tsukuba before becoming a professor in the Faculty of Letters at Keio University. Publications include Shakaigaku [Sociology: Modernity, Self and Reflexivity] (co-author) (Yuhikaku Publishing), Hibakusha chosa wo yomu: Hiroshima/Nagasaki no keisho [Reading the Hibakusha Reports: Passing on Hiroshima/Nagasaki*] (co-author) (Keio University Press), and Shakaigaku no chikara [Sociology Concepts and Propositions] (Yuhikaku Publishing).
